Elise Wilson – Student Therapist
I am a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student currently completing my practicum and
working under the clinical supervision of Katie Harling.
My approach is humanistic and strengths-based, focusing on your existing capacities and
resources. I aim to always lead with warmth and openness, helping support comfort and safety as
we work together.
Sharing what you are going through can feel deeply vulnerable, and we’ll go at a pace that
honours your comfort and readiness. Together, we can go beyond the surface to connect with the
body, core emotions, and explore the nuanced layers of life’s challenges. I am committed to
creating a space where you feel seen and heard, with empathy and care.
I have a performance background, which gives me insight into the pressures of high-performance
environments, often linked to perfectionism and people-pleasing. I also have years of experience
in community music settings, singing and connecting with young adults with developmental and
intellectual disabilities, as well as older adults in end-of-life care.
I believe deeply in the therapeutic process, and the power of connecting with ourselves and
others. If you think I might be the right fit for you, I’d love to connect!
