Katelyn Kohlen – Registered Clinical Counsellor
Katelyn works with adults and teens navigating anxiety, ADHD, people-pleasing patterns, and trauma. She supports clients in better understanding themselves, breaking unhelpful patterns, and developing new ways of showing up in their lives.
She offers a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can show up fully themselves — messy, complicated, funny, and human. Her work is grounded in a person-centred and strengths-based approach, and therapy is tailored to each client’s goals, learning style, and hopes for the work.
Katelyn draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Sessions may focus on increasing self-understanding, processing past experiences, and building practical tools that support meaningful, sustainable change in everyday life.
Outside of counselling, Katelyn enjoys having a few too many hobbies, including reading, hiking, learning music, and creative projects. She also brings her lived experience with anxiety and ADHD into her work, which informs her understanding of how complex and non-linear change can be.
