Katie – Registered Social Worker & Registered Clinical Counsellor
Specializing in Couples Therapy, Perinatal Support, and Life Transitions – With over 10 years of experience in the field of counselling, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and transitions. My approach integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solutions-Focused Therapy. These modalities are grounded in fostering personal growth, emotional resilience, and practical change.
I am passionate about helping people identify how they want their relationships to look and what kind
of life they want to live. From there, we work together to create a roadmap to move towards those
goals with intention and purpose. Whether navigating relationship dynamics, preparing for the
challenges of parenthood, or embracing a significant life transition, I strive to offer a safe,
compassionate space for exploration and healing.
About Me
As a mother who has personally navigated the challenges of postpartum depression and anxiety, as well
as experienced grief and loss, I deeply understand the struggles that many of my clients face. These
experiences have given me invaluable insight into the importance of self-compassion, patience, and the
need for support during difficult times. I believe that healing is a process, and I am committed to walking
alongside my clients as they work through their own challenges.
The outdoors is a source of inspiration and calm for me, and I often encourage clients to connect with
the natural world as part of their journey towards healing. I will most often be found outside in the
garden, with my animals, or enjoying hobbies with my family.
Belief in Change
I firmly believe in every individual’s capacity for growth and change, regardless of how stuck an
individual might feel. I trust that with the right support, everyone has the potential to shift patterns,
overcome obstacles, and move towards the life they truly desire. My goal is to empower you to tap into
your own strengths, uncover new possibilities, and build the life and relationships that reflect your
values and aspirations.
If you are ready to take the next step towards a more fulfilling life and stronger relationships, I would be
honored to support you on your journey.
