Katie – Registered Social Worker & Registered Clinical Counsellor

Getting started in therapy, with the goal of making a positive change in your life, can possibly bring up many thoughts and feelings; therapy may seem daunting, scary, exciting, embarrassing, hopeful, and more. I’m dedicated to providing an open, non-judgemental space to explore what brings you to therapy and how therapy can be uniquely helpful to you. I believe we can work together as a team, with both of our experiences, wisdom, and skills to make the changes you’re wanting to see in your life, your mind and your body.

With close to a decade of counselling experience, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many different individuals, couples and families both individually and in group settings. I bring a history of working within the community mental health system, working with clients diagnosed with OCD, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression, as well as substance use concerns. I’ve often had the privilege of witnessing incredible changes that are possible within relationships, workplaces, parenting, self-esteem, mood, and overall wellness.

While I enjoy working with many different individuals, I have a passion for supporting mothers/birthers through the many ups and downs of the perinatal experience. After my own personal experience of becoming a mother, including times of grief and loss, I have recommitted to this very important work of compassionately supporting clients through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
