Sarah Trevitt – Clinical Counsellor – Registered Social Worker

In Sarah’s work, clients have taught her that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. She knows that it’s important to make therapy work for you and your unique strengths, values, history, and challenges. Sarah offers trauma counselling for relationships, life transitions, grief, identity, sexual assault, abuse, and intimate partner violence. Together, she hopes to build an understanding of how your core beliefs and life experiences mold who you are – and how you can feel safer in your body and mind.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She integrates trauma-informed therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and Attachment therapy to best support you. She is also Level 1 trained in Gottman Therapy for couples. She has experience working in a frontline shelter for women and their children experiencing violence in the home, as well as direct-counselling experience in mental health and substance use, neurodivergence, and grief.

As someone who has experienced the benefit of counselling herself, she knows the importance of trust and security in the therapeutic relationship. She offers in-person counselling at the office in Kelowna, and virtual sessions so you can be in the comfort of your own space.
